Maud, Age 10
Reading was a terrible challenge for Maud, after 1 year of reading instruction she was unable to reach even the first reading level. After two years, Maud was able to reach AVI 2, which was not enough to continue on to the next grade (5th). There was a strong suspicion Maud was suffering from Dyslexia.
We came across the Brightstar Learning Dyslexia product and decided to give that a try.
After completion of the 6 weeks treatment protocol, combined with intense remedial teaching, Maud had made incredible progress. Her reading skills had progressed three AVI levels ! School became a lot easier for Maud after this intervention.
Maud’s sister, Roos, has proceeded to do the home version of Brightstar as she also had difficulty reading. (Approximately 6 months behind her peers on a continuous basis).
Roos’s initial response to the treatment was modest, but after 6 months she had caught up with her peers and was reading at the expected level for her age.
