A few months ago my two sons Tim (9) and Bas (7) have tried the Brightstar Learning treatment for reading difficulty and slowness. We had no expectations and were thinking: Why not try the process, nothing ventured nothing gained.
Both boys were struggling with spelling and Bas in particular had real difficulty reading. 6 weeks, 2 sessions a week for 12 minutes behind the PC had to be achievable. After the first set of sessions there was a real challenge as the boys found the exercises boring. But they persisted under our guidance and completed the process as desired.
A few weeks after they had completed the treatment protocol, Bas came home with very successful test results from the school. He was very proud to have been named the best student in his class that day! Both boys, Tim and Bas had made huge progress in their reading levels.
The boys had not been tested before the treatment so it was not possible to accurately measure how big the impact of the treatment had been, but the progress was nevertheless impressive particularly for the younger Bas.
I am extremely happy we have tried this revolutionary approach.
